How to close a Upstox account online?

By submitting an Account Closure request using the Upstox mobile app or web interface, you may close your Upstox account online. After you submit an account termination request, Upstox takes 15 days to close your account.

Step To Follow online Upstox Account closing request:

Use the Upstox app or website to log in.

In the top left corner, click on the Name.

Select Account from the drop-down menu.

Go to Profile and choose it. Select View All from the drop-down menu next to Account.

On the upper left corner, click the three lines.

Account Closure may be found under the Account section and will take you to the Account Closure page.

Select “Close account” from the drop-down menu.

To access the “Account Closure Request page,” click on the link.

Select a reason for your account’s closure.

Select “Close account” from the drop-down menu.

How can I close my Upstox account offline?

In Upstox, the account closure procedure is done offline. Fill up and email the account closure form to close your Upstox account. If you are not trading or have switched brokers, it is best to close your previous account because it will accrue monthly maintenance charges. Monthly maintenance fees of Rs. 25+gst are charged by Upstox.

You should settle all of your dues or negative balance on your account before seeking to terminate your Upstox account. If you have any funds remaining in your trading account, you should withdraw them before terminating them. Additionally, you must sell or transfer all of your assets in that account.

How to close a Upstox account step by step:

Follow these procedures to close your Upstox account.

Visit the official website of Upstox.

Go to support -> to forms in the top menu.

The demat closure form may be found under the account modification section.

It is available for download and printing.

Fill up your information and sign it.

Send it to the correspondence address shown at the top of the form via mail or courier.

Within a few days, your Upstox account will be closed. If you haven’t received confirmation from Upstox after a week, contact customer support.

Prior to making the request to terminate your Upstox account:

Pay off all outstanding debts.

All open F&O trade positions should be closed.

From your Demat account, you may sell or transfer your holdings.

Any Mutual Funds in your account should be redeemed.

Any Digi Gold balance in your account should be cleared.

Point to be Noted:

Your account termination link is delivered to the registered email address and phone number, and it is valid for 30 days.

If you’re using an older version of the Upstox mobile app, the account cancellation option may be found in your Profile’s My Account area.

There is no fee for canceling your account with Upstox.

3. Fill in data such as the reason for terminating the account, the balance securities remaining in the account’s chosen status, and the DP ID of the Demat account to which existing securities should be transferred.

4. The paperwork must be signed by account holders.

The next step is to select security to be kept in the Demat account, followed by the signatures of all account holders.
